Anger is an emotionally related, psychological interpretation of having been offended, wronged or denied, and a desire to then undo the injustice by retaliation. Anger can also be defined as an emotion that involves a strong uncomfortable emotional response to a perceived provocation.

Anger: A primordial mode of expression; An inability to calmly cope with that which is being perceived.

Some physical occurrence correlating with feelings of anger are increased heart rate, blood pressure, and increased levels of adrenaline and noradrenalin. Anger is also a part of the brain's response to a perceived threat or harm, known as “fight or flight”. When a person makes the conscious choice to take action to immediately stop the threat or behavior of another outside force, anger may become the predominant feeling behaviorally, cognitively, and physiologically or the person can simply choose to recognize the change they need, then seek to bring about these changes in a calm safe manner, thus avoiding the Anger State.
